The Pickerington Early Learning Center is part of Pickerington Schools' special education services, fostering learning for children with disabilities and their typically developing peers. Children aged three to five are welcomed, with free services provided to those qualifying for disability support. This inclusive approach utilizes peer models to encourage appropriate behavior, social skills, and communication. A limited number of tuition-based peer models, residing in the Pickerington district, are integrated into classrooms, offering all children a diverse and enriching preschool experience. The program adheres to Ohio Department of Education and federal mandates, led by licensed teachers following developmentally-appropriate activities within the Creative Curriculum.
