Welcome to Pickerington Early Learning Center At-a-Glance! - Exploring Tomorrow, Nurturing Today

Welcome to the Pickerington Early Learning Center for Preschool. For many of you, this will be your child’s first experience with school. We are so excited to have you. This is an exciting time and we look forward to working with you and your child.

This year will be filled with discovery and growth as your child works and plays in the school environment. The structure of our daily activities is planned to help promote independence, self-confidence, and cooperation through large groups, small groups and one on one experiences. The preschool staff provides hands-on activities, interactive experiences that enhance your child’s growth and development. The activities incorporate instruction and will reinforce skills in the areas of language and reading readiness, math, writing, science, social studies, art, fine and gross motor skills and social/emotional development. Your child will socialize with other children, develop independence and learn to solve problems.

The preschool staff looks forward to working with you and your child as a team. We believe that communication between home and school will lead to a child’s success. You are encouraged to contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

The mission of Pickerington Early Learning Center Preschool program is to provide a nurturing, high-quality, and individualized educational environment for children to begin their journey as lifelong learners.

The Pickerington Early Learning Center Preschool is a program that enhances and encourages learning for children with disabilities and for typically-developing children. We welcome children ages three to five years of age, while offering a range of services free to children with a qualifying disability. We believe that typical peers serve as models for appropriate behavior, social skills, and language/communication skills. Typically-developing children are enrolled on a tuition basis, must be toilet trained, and residents in the Pickerington Schools District.

Communication with students, families, and staff is crucial to the success of Pickerington Schools. Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone at 614-834-2620, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or email with any questions or concerns. We always welcome the opportunity to connect with members of our community.
